USC BlogCon 2016

The Carolinian Camera Guild's very first BlogCon last March 12, 2016 at the University of San Carlos - Talamban Campus was a success.

Drama
The convention was attended by influential local bloggers Andrew Pablico of The Pablique, Katherine Cutar of Nested Thoughts, Jean Yu of Life on a Flavored Runway and Doyzkie Buenaviaje of I Luv Cebu and Doyzkie.com. They shared tips on kicking your blogging game up a notch like knowing your style, building confidence, and making connections

Selfie! (or groufie)
Though, I didn't get to hear much of the talks (I came in late. Valid reason haha), I still got to learn new important things about blogging.

There were raffles and games. I got teamed up with Doyzkie in one and though my teammates were kinda shy and silent, it was fun (at least for me lol). The kit and the giveaways were sweet! Awesome sponsors!

After the convention, I met up with my friends from USC and we took a few photos. Here are a few of them.

#SMYouthGoSee

SM Youth has finally closed their online search yesterday for the next auspicious ambassadors of their brands: Tee Culture, Markus, Tank, Character Tees and Reef Break.

The online search garnered a total of almost 13k entries, a few of which are mine. Lol.

I mean, who wouldn’t take a shot at being a brand ambassador of one of the most known brands in the country when all you had to do was post your best modeling shot (without any eyewear) wearing at least one item from SM Youth, upload it on your own IG profile and use the hashtag #SMYouthGoSee? Not to mention SM Youth pieces are ultra affordable relative to other brands and are undeniably, almost magically stylish that you don’t even have to try! Trust me.

So much for that. Here are a few pictures, some are my entries.

Like all of the aspirants, I hope I win. (duhh, ofc. I'm so stupid)
All photos taken by my talented friend Larlo Ormoc. I hope he never gets tired of taking photographs of me for free haha.
That's all for this post! Godbless to all who joined! Advance congratulations to the lucky 100 and never stop trying to the remaining 12,900! lol
(i still hope i get in lol)

Lazy Stripes

I consider this look a transition between school norm and walking casual. I had to go to school before heading to SM Seaside City Cebu for my cousin's birthday dinner.
I went to school in my black pants, (not so) white shoes and NSTP T-shirt. And to get rid of all the unwanted fabric required for a completely new get-up that I have to stuff in my bag, I only brought with me a white v-neck shirt (although I despise v-necks) and a striped black and white cardigan to fill in the canvas and to spare me from the frostbite SM Seaside's always-on-fullblast AC has to offer. Lol. I Also wore a gold watch (like I always do) because aside from it's the only decent watch I have, I believe it would go nice with black and white.
This scheme is very safe given that black and white never fails to complement each other. Also, I believe it's very easy to hack. I mean, who doesn't have a pair of black jeans and white shirt in their closets? Plus it's really easy to find a layering piece similar to what I got here.

What I wore:
Top: Baleno V-neck Store
Cardigan: Whoops
Shoes: Adidas
Pants: Thrifted
Watch: Timex

Nature Calls. For a Little Help

In our school, we are required to plant trees, 12 of them, for our National Service Training Program. My colleagues and I decided to take advantage of the semestral break for this activity.

No. This is not a paid ad.
icky sticky somethings

The area was along the coastal area of Brgy Bakhaw (vernacular for mangrove) in Cotcot, Liloan. I expected it to be easy because we chose to plant mangroves. I thought making holes in soft soil (or was it sand? Not sure) would cost no sweat. I was wrong.

I hope you find the courage to grow

Hello, stranger.

People who left me while I was taking pictures. I love you guys.

Though it was tiring, it was just as fun and a whole lot fulfilling. The fact that mangroves grow at a slow rate, and that there are factors that threat their very survival, makes it more rewarding if we find out that they survived.
